Extension connects you to university-backed research and community resources.

Small Farms Program

We are helping cultivate a healthier, more sustainable food and farming system for Clallam County. Our extension staff works with Clallam County community members to foster profitable family farms, land and water stewardship and access to healthy food.

4-H: Join the fun!

Are you looking for a place to learn about technology, the arts or animal sciences? Check out the many 4-H programs we offer! Develop your leadership skills through hands-on learning and community service. Many activities are available such as arts and crafts, robotics, leadership or a variety of animal science projects.

Master Gardener Program

Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who work in partnership with WSU Extension to provide information to home gardeners about sound and sustainable gardening practices including integrated pest management, efficient watering systems, soil improvement and choosing appropriate plants.

Waste Reduction Program

WSU Extension hosts Clallam County’s Waste Reduction Coordinator. This position promotes waste reduction activities such as composting, surplus food donation, gleaning and more. Check out how you and the community can benefit from utilizing waste as a resource!

Food $ense Youth Program

Working with students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, we provide nutrition education using exciting hands-on activities, fun visual aids, and food demonstrations! Students involved in the Food $ense program discover how and why to choose healthy foods, be physically active and wash their hands before touching food.
