Gardening

DSC_0022Gardening in Mason County can be a very rewarding experience. WSU Extension provides objective, research-based and credible information you can use in your garden every day. In addition to answering your gardening questions the Extension office, with their team of volunteer Master Gardeners, can help you with plant identification, and plant problem diagnosis.

To get started give the Extension office a call at 360-427-9670 Ext. 680 or email our Master Gardener Program coordinator, R. Jeanne Rehwaldt at rehwaldt@wsu.edu.
We look forward to helping you achieve your gardening goals.

Pruning Your Home Orchard

Why backyard fruit trees are not for everyone

GARDEN TOUR 2015 was a great success. The brief rain showers added some much needed water to the soil and didn’t seem to deter over 170 people who toured the gardens. Watch for our 2016 Garden Tour, tentatively scheduled for the Union area. Contact the R. Jeanne Rehwaldt at 360-427-9670 Ext. 688 if you have a garden you would like to be considered for the tour.
